Vanessa Moorehead turned corporate "right-sizing" into a new career opportunity. Employed by General Motors for 20 years in Human Resources and Worldwide Purchasing, Vanessa courageously stepped out on faith and her creative talents, ambition, and dedication to hard work to fulfill her dream of owning a boutique. In May 2005 she opened EXQUISITE Boutique in Southfield, Michigan. EXQUISITE is where shopping becomes an experience! Displays throughout the store feature unique accessories, attire for ladies and men, beautiful gift items, inspirational books, soaps imported from Italy and Africa, and aromatherapy products.
EXQUISITE gives back to the community by supporting charitable fundraising events and donating to the FEED THE CHILDREN organization, Lutheran Child & Family Services and the Mix 92.3 Sista Strut Annual Walk/Run to fight breast cancer. EXQUISITE also supports local jewelry and fashion designers. Ms Moorehead's ambition is to be able to reach back into the community and assist other's in fulfilling their goals. Her belief: "There aren't fortunate and less fortunate people, just those who choose to reach back and assist others and those who do not".
